We have been busy this year getting ready for our Herd Dispersal Sale. The time has come for us to slow down, and enjoy what is most important to us in life... family. We have concluded that in order to do so, it is time to cut way back, possibly just keeping a few horses around the place to ride. You might see us again down the road...maybe in the show pen, but more often just out enjoying the trail.
The Bagwell, Kaiser, and Coombs families would like to thank all of the amazing friends we have made over the years. We greatly appreciate the help and support you have shown as we've reached the difficult decision to sell out our breeding and show programs.
What are the Kids up to?
Taylor has now graduated from High School, and is busy working. If we catch him at the barn, or better yet on a horse, we hope to document the occasion with a photo to share here. :-)
Raymond is finishing up his last year of school, and is now learning to weld. We have appreciated his help getting some of the horses ready for the sale.
We would like to wish Green Pastures to our faithful friend All That Jazz, who passed away this past year. Jazzy was one of a kind, teaching both Raymond and Hannah how to ride.
Hannah started 6th grade this year. She is involved with band, soccer and basketball. She is still the one who loves the horses the most. She is at the barn riding more than anyone else, usually Dyna or Fergie.
2005 News
River Bend Ranch & JKA Supreme Scooter have dominated the Select Sire Futurity for several years. This is the first year they have presented their own stock at the International Show.
River Bend Ranch is proud to present the 2005 International Show Grand Champion Stallion RBR Bunbelieveable. This three year old bay Stallion is just one example of the type of POAs being produced by the Bagwell's at River Bend Ranch in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. RBR Bunbelieveable is sired by the Few Spot Stallion JKA Supreme Scooter. This Stallion once again proved that he is one of the top young sires in the POA breed. Bunbelieveable is out of St Avalon AQHA. This mare was bred & owned by H.J. Wiescamp. St Avalon is by Smooth Sill & out of Orphan St. RBR Bunbelieveable displayed his athletic ability by winning the 19 & Over JPFC English Pleasure class with Darren Vincent. This pair also placed in the Western Pleasure & Trail classes. RBR Bunbelieveable was presented at the International show by Darren & Tony Vincent of Winning Ways Ranch.
RBR Bun Dunit & Lorin Kaiser won the Yearling Colt class. Fourth out of 15 in the same class was RBR Bun Broker & Tara Boettcher. RBR Bunforgetable & Lorin Kaiser won the Yearling Filly class. Third out of 21 in the same class was RBR Phenomenal Buns & Tara Boettcher. The toughest Halter class at the 2005 Int. Show was the Two Year Old Filly class. RBR Ann Adorable Buns placed second in this class of 24. She was also named Reserve Grand Champion Mare. This outstanding filly is a full sister to Bunbelieveable. Like her big brother this POA just keeps getting better with time.
Bunbelieveable, Ann Adorable Buns, & Bunforgetable walked away with the Get of Sire Class for JKA Supreme Scooter by placing first under all three judges. Proving once again that JKA Supreme Scooter & his Bun Babies are some of the best POAs in the business.
We would also like to Thank every one that has helped us along the way.
2002 News
We were excited and it turned out very pleased to Receive our December 2002 issue of POA Magazine. We must say thank you to everyone who loves our horses as much as we do. It is a wonderful reward to know that we have apparently done a good job and all the hard work has not been for naught. We appreciate all of the friendships we have made, and all of the helpful instructions from so many who have contributed to our POA learning process. Please find below excerpts from the POA Magazine article titled "Changing of the Guard" by Kent Rorick in the December 2002 issue, which we would like to share with our visitors: "The past three years the Bagwells & JKA Supreme Scooter have been knocking on the SSF Championship door. This year they kicked it open. At the 1999, 2000 & 2001 SSF the Bagwells had six JKA Supreme Scooter foals place in the top ten. This year alone the Bagwells had four Scooter foals place in the top five, including the Champion Filly RBR Bunbeatable. RBR Beacoup Buns, placed fourth in the filly class. In the colt class RBR Bun Believeable was third. RBR Tsunami Buns placed fifth in the colt class. JKA Supreme Scooter also sired the sixth place colt, Skip Along Scooter owned by Renee Watson. At age eight, JKA Supreme Scooter joins the list of SSF Champion Sires." "It is interesting to note that the 20 foals that placed in the 2002 SSF were bred by only nine people. Only ten different sires were represented in the 20 foals that placed. This is largely due to three young stallions that had multiple foals place. Eight year old JKA Supreme Scooter had five foals place. Six year old His Fancy Carbine had four foals place. Four year old Boston MacCloud had three foals finish in the top ten. These three young sires represent a changing of the guard in the Select Sire Futurity."
